The Daily Telegraph recently published a report containing inaccurate assertions regarding disagreements among Iranian officials on how to address the aggression of the Zionist regime. Below is the official response from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to these unfounded claims.

The report dated August 9, 2024, in the Daily Telegraph titled "Iran’s New President Battles Revolutionary Guard to Stop All-Out War with Israel," is baseless and lacks any supporting evidence. It appears to be an attempt to wage a psychological campaign against Iran.

The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political office in Tehran, is a violation of international law. the Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to defend its sovereignty and take any necessary measures in response to this act of aggression in accordance with international laws.

In light of this aggression from the Israeli regime, there is not only unity among high-level decision-makers within the Islamic Republic but also a strong consensus on the need for a firm response. The president, as head of Iran's National Security Council, has clearly articulated this stance and communicated Iran's resolute position during discussions with European leaders.
